+ 25 %: GrindTec 2012 surpasses the most audacious expectations / All the leading suppliers of grinding technology represented at Augsburg

Augsburg – Since its première in 1998 the GrindTec has grown continuously, even in the year 2010, when the worldwide financial crisis still had a grip on the economy and consumers.. Already today, just two months before the trade fair opens, the amount of booked area is 25 % over that of the GrindTec 2010, which had already been the biggest event ever.

GrindTec 2012: For the leading companies of the sector the No. 1 show

The leading machinery manufacturers are participating in Augsburg with larger than ever presentations. A whole lot of new exhibitors will also be exhibiting in Augsburg for the first time, and also many of the companies, which had given the trade fair a miss during the economic crisis year 2010, will be participating again. And more and more companies now value the GrindTec as the ideal platform for the première of their important novelties.

GrindTec international: 25 countries in Augsburg

A good third of the exhibitors come from outside Germany. The strongest participation among the 25 foreign countries taking part has always been traditionally from Switzerland, with at present 51 exhibitors this year, followed by Italy with 24. In third place China has gained ground with 14 exhibitors. The 4th place with 7 companies each is shared by the Netherlands, Austria and France. And in the meantime even overseas suppliers from Japan, Korea, and the USA are using the GrindTec as their gateway to open the world market.

A presentation of the GrindTec given to Chinese trade associations last December awoke great interest and since then numerous groups of visitors have announced their attendance.

The perfect match: The exhibitors and the visitors at the GrindTec

This is the determining advantage factor of the GrindTec specialised trade fair: Both the exhibitors and the visitors at the GrindTec are absolute experts in the field of grinding technology. And the high quality of the visitors has been praised since day one. Their outstanding characteristic is their competence as decision-makers. 62 % of them are “sole decision-makers” or are “involved in decision-making” and 27 % of them are “involved in decisions in an advisory capacity”. The range of exhibits at the GrindTec 2010 also received the best visitors’ assessment yet: 93 % gave it the marks “very good” and “good”. And for more and more visitors the GrindTec is all they need to satisfy their information demands for the grinding technology sector: 44 % of them now no longer visit any other trade fair within this sector.
